North Dartmoor Search and Rescue
North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team is a charity dedicated to searching for, finding, and helping to safety people lost or injured on or off Dartmoor. The charity operates to support the Police across Dartmoor and Mid Devon from Okehampton to Exeter and around. Volunteers train regularly in search skills, navigation, and casualty care, amongst other skills.
The charity maintains and runs three vehicles and a rescue centre. Equipment is also refurbished regularly and this all costs around £25,000 per year just to keep operating. North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team is entirely funded by donations. The Beer Festival was pleased to donate £1,600 last year and we are delighted to support this local charity again in 2024.

Action Medical Research
The mission of Action Medical Research for Children (AMR) is to save and change children lives. Along with researching new treatments, vaccinations and cures, funding is needed to support much-needed studies into rare diseases affecting children under 5, understanding the effects of Covid and Long Covid on children, childhood cancer, premature births and pregnancy complications.
The local AMR committee organises a range of fun events to raise funds and ensure this vital work can continue. Nomansland Beer Festival are delighted to support the Tiverton Branch of Action Medical Research as one of our main charities for the 2024 Nomansland Beer Festival.
